3D Scanning Technology Used to Create Energy Efficient Lighting System

Envivo’s laser scanning team recently completed a project to create a 3D model of Alliance Group’s Lorneville Processing Plant’s slaughter board lighting deck for NuGreen Solutions NZ.

NuGreen had proposed a full redesign of the Lorneville Processing Plant’s slaughter board’s lighting and wiring system for an LED lighting upgrade. The redesign was not possible due to a lack of available site plans as the building’s original framework was built in the 1920’s.

The Laser Scanning team used our hashtag#leica hashtag#rtc360 scanner to capture the whole area in just over an hour and create a 3D model to assist NuGreen in their lighting redesign plans. The plans were then supplied to Alliance to form the as built documentation for the slaughter board. The plans have also been used to assist with other capital upgrade projects by Alliance Group.
